Ya Ya Bean’s La Boca Roja is made with 100% fresh peppers and onions grilled to perfection. The two major peppers giving La Boca Roja its kick are jalapeños and a small spicy pepper charmingly called “Puta Parió.” Multiple grilled peppers and onions along with a mix of other spices makes La Boca Roja an extremely flavorful hot sauce which pairs perfectly with empenadas, pizza, eggs or anything else that needs spice or flavor.
We learned the basics to this one of a kind hot sauce recipe while living on an organic farm in Patagonia. After a month on the farm we started missing civilization so we moved back to Buenos Aires to develop our recipe. After 5-6 months of experimentation we finally reached the formula that we use today and we could not be happier with the result!
